Who should be in charge of our country — the corporations or the people?

Ballot Issue 2H is a response to the overwhelming influence of huge corporations and corporate money on all aspects of our society.

Corporate power stems largely from the granting of Constitutional rights to corporations (known as "personhood") by courts over the last 125 years. The Supreme Court has also equated money with free speech, resulting in an uncontrolled flood of corporate and billionaire dollars being poured into our elections.

2H allows Boulder voters to declare that corporations should not have the same rights as human beings, and that spending money should not be considered a form of free speech.
